The armrest cushions prioritize comfort with their softer PUR material. The seat and backrest contain foam cushioning wrapped in Main Line Plus fabric. This textile consists of wool and Viscose, known for durability, comfort, and easy cleaning.
Electrical functions meet IEC 60601-1 safety standards, including EMC requirements in IEC 60601-1-2. The chair holds an IP21 approval, guarding against water droplets and accidental contact with hazardous parts.

Yes, we offer five models with different weight ranges: VELA Independence Chair, VELA Independence Chair with Power Wheels and VELA Apex Chair that fit up to 300lbs. We also have the VELA Epic Chair (300lbs-385lbs), and the VELA Epic Plus Chair (up to 660lbs). You can compare them here.
The VELA Apex Chair is designed for hard floors like wood, tiles, and linoleum. Thick carpets can make moving the chair more difficult, especially for users who need the chair’s electrical features. It’s best to remove loose rugs for safer and easier mobility. While the chair can be used on flat carpets, the friction may make it harder to “walk” around. Feel free to ask for advice on your specific flooring needs.
